A giant bouquet of sunflower festivals is back, and wandering among the towering blooms can make for a lovely family outing. Snap some photos, marvel at the giant stalks, and enjoy a break from the city hustle and bustle. Read on for sunflower festivals taking place around Seattle this August and September.
1. Maris Farms Sunflower Festival, Aug. 5–7, 12–14 and 19–21
Maris Farms in Buckley is a farm well known for its annual bumper pumpkin crop. It’s getting in on the sunflower bounty again this year and inviting families to enjoy the farm. Entry includes access to seven acres of flower fields, tons of farm games and activities, and one U-cut bloom to take home. Guests can buy additional sunflowers if they like, and this farm promises more than 20 different varieties of brilliantly colored blooms.

2. Spooner Sunflower Festival, Aug. 12–14, 19–21 and 26–28
Spend a sunny, summer day among the sunflowers at Spooner Farms. Check out multiple varieties growing in the field as you enjoy a leisurely tractor ride. Before heading home, stop by the farm store down the road for some berries and fresh produce.
Info: Entry is $12 for ages 6 and older, which includes 5 flowers; $6 for ages 3 to 5 years (includes one flower); and free for ages 2 and younger.
3. Lora Lee’s A-Maze-ing Sunflower Maze, select dates Aug. 12–Sept.
This farm has cooked up not just one, but two mazes through the sunflower fields. Fun! Bring the whole family (but no dogs, please!) to wander through mazes of beautiful blooms. While you're there, enjoy some refreshing shave ice and visit the new baby goats.

4. Knutson Farms Sunflower Days, Aug. 15–17 and 22–24
Knutson Farms in Sumner offers lots to do, see and eat at their annual end-of-summer celebration. Your entry includes hayrides, farm animals, food trucks, kids activities, and yes, access to their field of gorgeous sunflowers.

5. Sunflowers in Snohomish, Aug. 15–28
Thomas Family Farm hosts its fourth annual celebration of sunflowers. Tickets for weekday entry include a U-cut option for sunflowers ($3 per bloom), sunflower maze and strolling the 12 acres of fields. Weekend tickets include access to the sunflower maze, fun park and one bloom to take home. Additional sunflowers and food items are available for purchase. There is a butterfly release on Aug. 21 at 3 p.m.

6. Rutledge Corn Maze Sunflower Festival, Aug. 20–21 and 27–28
Snap your photos while wandering among the four acres of sunflowers planted at beautiful Rutledge family farm; they've also set up a platform for an over-the-fields view. Enjoy live music, purchase food and drink items from vendors, and select your special sunflower bloom (included in the ticket price).

7. Sunflower Patch at Thomasson Family Farm, select dates Aug. 25–Sept. 5
Spend the day wandering the five-acre sunflower field adorned with thousands of blooms ranging in shades of yellow to red at Enumclaw's Thomasson Family Farm. Admission includes one free bloom, wagon rides, yard games and a kids' area with lots of fun activities.

8. Mountainview Blueberry Farm Sunflower Festival, select dates Aug. 26–Sept. 4
This sunflower fest takes place at Mountainview Blueberry Farm in Snohomish and features — you guessed it — blueberries! Alongside the sunflowers, of course. Admission includes a wander in the sunflower and blueberry fields, furnishing loads of photo ops.

9. Bob’s Corn Sunflower Experience, daily Aug. 27–Sept. 16
Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm, famous for its fall pumpkin festivities, invites families to enjoy 50 varieties of sunflowers planted on 12 acres of its Snohomish-area farm. Wander among the blooms and take a bundle home — Bob’s sunflowers are available for U-pick. There are also snacks and other vendors on-site, plus plenty of fun activities for the kids.

10. Sunflower Fields at Stocker Farms, Sept. 17–18 and 24–25
You will discover a sunflower bounty at Stocker Farms in Snohomish, another site famous for its pumpkin crop and other fall festivities. This experience affords visiting families fields of gorgeous sunflowers for photo ops as well as additional blooms available for purchase.

Bonus: U-cut sunflowers at Frisky Girl Farm, weekends Aug. 20–Sept. 25
New for 2022! This isn't a festival, but the half-mile sunflower field at Frisky Girl Farm in North Bend is open weekends for U-cut sunflowers. And of course, you can snap beautiful pics among the blooms. They also have a farm stand where you can stock up on tasty produce.
