We are always excited when the Washington State Spring Fair rolls around. It’s got everything we love about the bigger summer fair: Think rides, animals, fair food, but with smaller crowds. Plus, it comes at the perfect time of year when we’re shoving aside any rainy winter doldrums and embracing the season, right? Let’s do it.

This year, the Spring Fair takes place over two weekends: Thursday–Sunday, April 13–16 and Thursday–Sunday, April 20–23. Tickets are on sale now.

Highlights for the 2023 Washington State Spring Fair:

1. New stuff!

Hip Hop Juggler: Paris, known as the Hip Hop Juggler, has been wowing audiences around the country for more than a decade. He’s performed on “The Daily Show,” on “Sesame Street” and even at The White House! He is preforming every day of the fair, so check the website for his schedule. You don’t want to miss his act!

Nitro Circus: Freestyle Crew: Get ready for all of the jumps, spins and tricks as the Freestyle Crew flies through the air on BMX bikes, skateboards and pit bikes. This fast-paced show will entertain and impress tots to teens. After the show, ticket holders have the opportunity to talk with the athletes, get an autograph and even a photo. The Nitro Circus show happens the first weekend only (April 13–16) and is not included with general fair admission; it requires a separate ticket, $15 per person or a family four-pack for $48. Buy tickets online.

The Jewel Tones: This all-female, Motown-inspired vocal trio performs hits by favorite acts such as The Supremes, The Jackson 5, Gladys Knight & The Pips and Stevie Wonder. You have multiple chances to catch the trio’s 45-minute performance April 20–22, and it's included with your regular Spring Fair admission. Check the website for The Jewel Tones’ schedule.

World of Animals: Got an animal fan in your crew? Then head to the Centennial Building to check out the exotic animals that call the jungle home. Happening every day of the fair and included in the price of admission, these captivating exhibits and shows are sure to thrill the whole family.

2. Returning fair favorites

Racing Pigs: These little piggies deliver big-time entertainment every year. Watching the races is included with gate admission.

DockDogs: Athletic pooches race down a 40-foot runway and launch themselves into the air to catch a baton before splashing into the 27,000 gallon landing tank. It’s awesome! This show is included with gate admission.

Animal exhibits: It wouldn’t be the Fair without animals to admire, including pygmy goats, bunnies, miniature horses, llamas and more. Viewing the animals is included with gate admission.

Fiesta MexicanaEnjoy music and entertainment with roots in Mexican culture on the Showplace Stage on Sunday, April 23; included with gate admission.

Motorsport Mayhem: Popular Motorsport Mayhem shows take place April 21–23 and require ticket purchase in addition to gate admission. Snag your tix for Slamfest Demolition Derby and other shows. Tickets start at $26.

Monster Truck Rides: Catch a ride on a tricked-out monster truck for $10, in addition to gate admission; available all dates.

If you go ...

Find it: The 2023 Washington State Spring Fair takes place at the Washington State Fair Events Center at 110 Ninth Ave. S.W. in Puyallup.

When: Thursday–Sunday, April 13–16, and Thursday–Sunday, April 20–23, 2023

Tickets: Buy your tickets online in advance for the best deal. Tickets purchased online by April 7 cost $12 for teens and adults ages 13 and older; $10 for kids ages 6–12; and kids 5 and younger enter free. These tickets are good for any day.
