Spring is a great time to clear out closets for a fresh new start. If you happen to have old car seats you no longer need, don’t miss out on Target’s biannual car seat trade-in event. Car seats can be traded in at any Target store Sunday, April 16, through Saturday, April 29, 2023. Find a Target location near you on the website.

Instead of sending your expired or damaged car seat to a landfill, bring it into a Target store and in exchange, receive a 20-percent-off coupon to put toward a new car seat, stroller or other select baby gear. Coupons can be used online or in-store.

Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target’s partner, Waste Management. Since this program launched in 2016, Waste Management reports it has recycled more than 32.9 million pounds of car seat materials!
